H1 · primary keywordOne H1 carrying the two searches this page competes for — “foreclosure attorney” and “foreclosure defense lawyer” — plus the national qualifier. It matches the title tag word for word.

How This Directory Helps You.
One index, foreclosure only. Whether you are facing foreclosure on your own property or buying nonperforming loans by the tape, this is a database of foreclosure attorneys in all fifty states — organized so you can compare them on the same terms instead of reading fifty different biographies.
This is not a general legal directory with a foreclosure filter bolted on. Every firm here handles foreclosure, creditor rights, bankruptcy, REO, title, or loan workouts. Nothing else competes for your search.
02
Both sides of the file
Homeowners and property owners facing foreclosure, and the lenders, servicers, and note buyers on the other side of it, use the same index. Profiles state which side a firm works, so you are never calling counsel who cannot take your matter.
03
All fifty states, organized by procedure
Counsel admitted in every state, grouped by whether that state runs foreclosure through a court, through a trustee, or either way — because the procedure decides the timeline and the defenses.
04
Two ways to find counsel
Pick a state and filter the list yourself, or answer six questions and we send your matter to a maximum of five matched firms in that jurisdiction. Browsing is free and needs no account.

Every profile answers the same fields
A Basic profile is free and complete on its own: firm name, location, governing procedure, practice focus, and courts of appearance. Enhanced adds attorney bios, a full practice description, and direct contact. Featured adds one of three positions on a county page and inclusion in matched submissions. Enhanced and Featured extend a Basic profile — they never hide what Basic already shows.
Structured profiles, not biographies.
Every firm answers the same fields, so you can compare them on the same terms before you open a single profile. Three listing levels control how much a firm can show and where it appears.

Browse by State.
Start where the property or collateral is located. Each state page lists admitted counsel, the governing procedure, and the county courts they appear in.

Court-supervised states
18 states
The lender files suit and a judge enters the judgment of foreclosure. Files sit longest here, defenses are litigated on the record, and local court practice decides the pace.
Whether a state runs foreclosure through a court or through a trustee changes everything downstream. The ten states at the extremes make the point on their own: all five of the fastest are power-of-sale states, and four of the five slowest run through a court or permit it. Nevada is the outlier worth knowing — non-judicial on paper, yet averaging over four years.
